The Board of Directors
![]() Lela Campbell is a West Baltimore native who is a graduate of Western High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, attended the Maryland Bible College and Seminary and received her Master’s Degree from Coppin State University. In 2001, Lela founded A Step Forward, a halfway housing facility in Harlem Park, Baltimore MD. She currently serves as Executive Director of the organization and is involved in numerous community and civic organizations. Donald is a graduate of ASF who brings that experience along with management, fundraising, and Human Resources to the Board. He also brings his desire to help the program move forward into the future. Ms. Karen Seaberry comes to the Board with extensive volunteer and management experience. She currently serves as the Manager at Hope Lodge Center in Baltimore, Maryland. With her management experience, she combines her interest in fundraising, business development, marketing, public relations, public speaking and community relations. A graduate of the Baltimore City and Maryland State Police Academies, Mr. McCray, a former U. S. Marine, is interested in law enforcement, event planning, the military and public speaking. He is also interested in fundraising. Ms. Brown has studied both culinary arts and fiber optics, and is a graduate of Western High School. She finds marketing, housing, finance, management, human resources and child development interesting. She plans to learn more about each of these topics while she serves on the Board. Mr. Green has served on an Advisory Council of Morgan State University and has attended Morgan State, the University of Illinois and the University of Delaware. He has management, business development, public speaking and housing experience along with interests in finance, marketing, public relations and public policy. A citizen of Baltimore City, Loureen is a veteran of the United States Postal Services. She brings her expertise in planning and evaluation and public relations to the Board. She has religious and city affiliations. Ms. Diggs has expertise in planning and evaluation, fundraising, financial management and public relations. She has affiliations within the law enforcement, education, corporate, media, small business, city and county communities. Mr. Booth owns and operates an Assisted Living home with his wife. He coordinated the Addiction Ministry at New Psalmist Church for ten to twelve years and also taught Discipleship. Ms. Cooper is a retired educator who received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Coppin State University. She has volunteer experience with the NAACP and the Baltimore Delta Foundation. Ms. Cooper has extensive child development experience and is interested in management, public and community relations. Ms. Vivian Blue, a Baltimore resident, has over twenty-five years of experience in the health field. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse who recently graduated from Sojourner Douglass College. Understanding the lack of health education held by the population that we serve, her most pronounced interest is in assuring that a health component is included in the ASF program. She works to connect the ASF community with the community health service sector.
